Everything New in Toxic Sound (Yeah, It’s a Lot)
The short version
Toxic Sound started with one simple idea: adults should be able to make an explicit AI song without fighting a filter every thirty seconds. That part has not changed. Pretty much everything around it has.
The studio now gives you much tighter control over lyrics, voices, arrangement, editing, playback, artwork, sharing, and credits. This is the honest tour of what is actually live now — no buzzword soup, no pretending a button is revolutionary because it has a sparkle icon.
The Vocal Creator got serious
Pick a genre first and the Suggested menu gives you four vocal setups built around that genre. Choose one and it fills all five controls automatically:
- Range
- Tone
- Grit
- Delivery
- Acoustic Environment
You can still build a voice manually, start from a preset, preview it before spending a credit, and save a good setup under your own name. Base options stay flexible across genres; Genre-Specific options lean harder into the sound you picked. If you mix settings that may fight each other, the studio explains the conflict and lets you fix it or say, “Nah, I meant to do that.”
Male and Female are enforced choices, not vague suggestions. If you choose Female, the generator is not supposed to wander off and hand you a male lead because the machine felt quirky that day.
Lyrics finally work like a writing space
Every Verse, Chorus, Hook, Bridge, and Outro is now one continuous writing area. Press Enter and keep writing. The old “add a line, add another line, question your life choices” workflow is gone.
Your unfinished lyrics autosave while you type. If you refresh or come back later, the draft restores automatically. Once a song is successfully generated, the temporary draft is cleared because it did its job. Delete Lyrics wipes the current draft but leaves you with a fresh Verse 1 box, so the editor never becomes a blank void.
If your idea is still messy, Format My Prompt reads the main song prompt and turns it into reviewable structured lyrics plus genre tags. Nothing changes until you hit Apply. Auto-Complete can also finish and organize fragments you already wrote.
Put the production directions where they belong
Each lyric section has a production-cue box. Add an Instrumental Break, Guitar Solo, Drum Solo, Bass Drop, Build-Up, Key Change, Vibe Change, Fade In, or Fade Out exactly where you want it. You can also type your own cue when the preset list does not cover your beautifully unhinged idea.
Each section can override the main vocal too. That means a restrained verse, a different singer on the hook, and a full-force outro can live in the same song without rebuilding the whole vocal setup.
Editing is for fixing the part that sucks
Open a finished song from your Library and use the player inside Edit to play, pause, stop, seek, or jump ten seconds at a time. Then change what actually needs changing:
- Correct the written lyrics without generating new audio
- Re-record with another vocal setup
- Set delivery speed from 1 (very slow) to 10 (very fast), or leave it on AI default
- Keep the lyrics and try a new genre
- Apply several selected changes together
The point is not to smash the reset button every time one line feels wrong. Keep the good parts. Fix the bad part. Move on with your life.

Playback, downloads, and sharing
Finished songs auto-play when they are ready and stay available in your Library. The player follows the lyric timing, and you can click through the song instead of guessing where the second chorus starts.
Downloads include an MP3 with the cover art embedded, plus the cover image as a separate file. On supported devices, sharing can send both the audio and artwork. Copied public links use the song cover in social previews, because a naked audio link looks sad as hell.
Credits without mystery math
One song costs one credit. New accounts get 4 song credits plus 1 lyric edit. Current paid options are:
- Creator: CA$20.99/month, 120 song credits, 3 lyric edits
- Unrestricted Producer: CA$47.99/month, 400 song credits, 6 lyric edits, plus your own lyrics
- Micro Pack: CA$6.99 one time, 30 credits and 2 lyric edits
- Standard Pack: CA$17.99 one time, 100 credits and 5 lyric edits
Top-up credits and edits expire one month after purchase. Your credit history shows charges, grants, top-ups, and refunds. Failed generations are handled with duplicate-refund protection, so the same failure cannot keep printing credits like a broken casino machine.
