AI Lyrics to Song: Turn Your Words Into a Performed Track

Before you start

• An account on Toxic Sound with the Unrestricted Producer plan. Custom lyrics are Producer-only.
• Your lyrics — a poem, verses, a full song, or a rough draft.
• An idea of the genre and vocal type you want (you can experiment freely).

Step 1 — Format your lyrics

The AI performs your lyrics best when it can tell verses from choruses. You don't need exact section tags, but line breaks and an empty line between sections help. A simple shape that works:

Repeat the chorus text where you want it repeated in the song. The AI treats your text literally — if you write the chorus once, it sings it once.

Step 2 — Pick a genre

Genre drives instrumentation, tempo, and rhythm. Pick one — Toxic Sound generates one genre at a time so the arrangement is coherent. If your lyrics are aggressive and short, try Metal, Punk, or Hardcore Rap. If they're introspective, try Indie, Folk, or R&B. Not sure? Generate the same lyrics twice with two different genres and compare.

Step 3 — Pick a vocal type

Male, female, duet, or choir. Duet works well when your lyrics have call-and-response lines. Choir suits anthemic hooks. If you have a specific vocal texture in mind, generate twice and keep the one closer to what you heard in your head.

Step 4 — Paste into the custom lyrics field

On Producer, the studio shows a "Custom lyrics" text area under the theme prompt. Paste your formatted lyrics there. When custom lyrics are filled in, the AI ignores the theme prompt and performs your text verbatim — including explicit language, since Toxic Sound doesn't filter output.

Step 5 — Generate and iterate

Click Generate Track. In a minute or two the finished song appears in your history feed with an AI-generated cover image and a lyrics view that follows along with playback. If the delivery isn't what you wanted, regenerate with a different vocal type or a different genre — the lyrics stay the same, the performance changes.

Tips for better AI lyric performances

• Keep lines singable. If a line has more than ~12 syllables, the AI may rush it.
• Rhyme at the end of lines. Not required, but it tightens the melody the model produces.
• Repeat the hook. Write the chorus out every time it should recur.
• Match the genre to the mood. Screamed verses over an acoustic folk arrangement will fight each other.
• Regenerate freely. Same lyrics + same genre + same vocal type will still produce a different take each time.
